Washi Winners

Thank you! …  to those of you who took the time to share how you are using washi tape. You all have such inspirational ideas … and it really is a product that can be used for almost anything.

The yummiest idea would have to be from Anissa who uses washi tape in her packaging of the most delicious looking chocolate ever. Seriously … go look at what she has in her la petite chocolat store.

I was also particularly impressed by Michelle’s use of washi. She has used a collage of washi under vintage tissue to create a gorgeous journal. There are some simply amazing journals on her blog … and it looks like she sells them too, something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a very special handmade gift maybe.

But without further delay … I’m happy to announce the name drawn out of all those who commented (both here and on our facebook page) was Margot.

I resisted washi for ages – silly me! I use it mostly to anchor embellishment clusters (as demonstrated by Shimelle Laine), but one of my favourite LOs is when I used it to create a mat for my photos:

Congratulations Margot, it’s a lovely layout!

And from the comments from those of you who haven’t tried washi tape yet …
