With my commitment to ‘give handmade’ this year I set out last night to make a card for Mum … 3 hours later I had a series of matching cards completed and a little card folder to pop a set of cards and envelopes in. Now Mum will have a handmade card to give when she next requires one. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos before I wrapped the parcel up to be sent off today. But if you are looking for card inspiration we have plenty of samples in store and of course, all the lovely supplies you’d need to make all the cards you need.

You may also be interested in a delightful little class we have planned for Saturday afternoon. (12 May 2 – 4pm)

Create a beautiful little mirror for your wall. This would be a great class for mothers and daughters to do together, just $35 for each project completed … so you could work on one together or complete one each … it’s up to you. A fancy afternoon tea will also be provided, so you can really relax and enjoy your afternoon at Craft House.

Our Adult Classes for March can be found here. They include a selection of card making and scrapbooking sessions and are aimed for the beginner right through to more experienced crafters.

One of my favourites coming up this month is a new mini album class using the ‘These Days’ collection from Kaisercraft.

A beautiful little album made entirely from scratch and perfect for a special collection of photos. This class will run on Saturday 17 March 1 -4pm. Just call Mary at the store to book your place.

Another class I’d like to point out is our ‘B.Y.O.’ class planned for Sunday 25 March. A new idea for this year … and no … it’s not byo wine (although that would be fine too) … but byo supplies. Each month a ‘shopping list’ will be provided – you bring the supplies from home, or come early and buy them from the store. Full layout instructions are provided and classes are ‘technique’ focussed to help you make the most of the supplies you already have.

If you are a little geographically challenged and can’t make it to Wellington for a class have a look at our class kits here. These are kits for past layout classes so they have MOST of what you need to complete the layout, including instructions, but you may have to improvise with stamps, masks, embossing folders … or whatever tools were used in the class but not included in the kit. Good value for money if you are looking for some inspiration and new ideas.

And while we’re talking classes the new Holiday Classes Programme for kids is now out. There are lots of fun classes on offer for April and it would pay to book in as soon as possible.

We have a re-stock shipment of most of the “plastics” (these include the exceedingly popular Scrapbook Dividers!) arriving from China in 3-4 weeks, along with the Black and White Signature Binders and several boxes of Clementine and Cobalt Binders which were short-shipped originally.

You are now able to pre-order the out-of-stock products again….please note, we won’t ship your order until all items are received in store.
